Jonathan Mitchell – CEO

Mr Mitchell founded Pacific Capital Partners in 2009 and sits on the advisor board of all its portfolio partners companies. Mr. Mitchell also currently serves as a non executive director of hedge fund Chanticleer Holdings, a public company listed in the US and Germany. The fund is an activist investor in value-based opportunities that are small, privately held or publicly traded micro-cap companies.

He is also on the advisory board of the Protector Services Group, the group of exclusive global security companies which includes Quintessentially Secure, a security company in partnership with Quintessentially, the world’s leading concierge and luxury lifestyle group.

Prior to being a founding member of Pacific Capital Partners, Mr. Mitchell managed the global special situation hedge fund Cullen Equities based in London where he led a team of traders and analysts in London and Auckland, including a team at Cullen’s partner, Fortis Investment Management.  Cullen’s goal was long-term capital appreciation through special situations and event driven investing and Mr. Mitchell would target investments with positive fundamental, technical and momentum characteristics. During his mandate, Cullen Equities had an annualised ROI of 25%.

Previous to his role at Cullen, Mr. Mitchell was at JP Morgan’s graduate program working across international markets, initially in interest rate derivatives and culminating in a position in equity derivatives. Mr. Mitchell graduated with distinction from Bristol Business School specialising in Economics and Financial Markets.
