Michael Tew
Mr Tew runs Pacific Capital Partners New York office and sits on the board of a number of its portfolio companies. Mr Tew is founder and principal of Sand Hill RP, a strategic advisory firm for investors in private and publicly held companies in the consumer, hospitality and technology sectors.
Mr. Tew is also the founder of SPAC Research Partners, a SPAC-centric advisory firm, and is one of only a handful of experts worldwide in structuring blank check reverse mergers and Special Purpose Acquisition Companies. Previously, he was a Principal and Founder of CapitalHQ, a New York based strategic public relations firm helping small and medium sized companies accelerate growth.
Mr. Tew was Vice President of a top-ranked investment research team focused on hospitality, leisure and gaming at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. During his tenure, Mr. Tew became the youngest officer in Bear, Stearns history. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, he served as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Hospitality and Leisure consulting group.
Mr. Tew is on the Editorial Board of Casino Enterprise Management, a gaming industry trade magazine, and the Gaming Law Review, a legal resource for gaming industry professionals. Mr Tew is also on the board of Pacific Capital Partners. Mr. Tew holds a B.S. in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He has also studied at Groupe HEC (Paris), SDA Bocconi (Milan), and Wirtschaftsuniversitat (Vienna).
